Frequently asked

How do I connect my Gmail account?

Open Purchy → Settings → Connected Accounts → Connect Gmail. You'll be redirected to Google to sign in and grant read-only access. Purchy only reads emails that match receipt and order-confirmation patterns; it never accesses the rest of your inbox. You can disconnect anytime from the same screen.

How do I scan a paper receipt?

Tap "+" on the home screen → "Scan Receipt." Point your camera at the receipt and tap capture. Purchy extracts the merchant, items, prices, date, and applicable return policy. You can also upload a photo from your gallery.

How do return alerts work?

When Purchy detects a purchase with a return window, it sets up automatic reminders. You'll get a notification 7 days, 3 days, and 1 day before the deadline. Customize timing in Settings → Notifications.

How do I delete my account?

Settings → Account → Delete Account. We remove all your data within 30 days. If you want a full export first, email services@purchy.app.

Can I use Purchy without connecting Gmail?

Yes. You can scan receipts manually with the camera. Connecting Gmail just makes the receipts file themselves, which is most of the value.

Why does Purchy need access to my bank?

Bank access (via Plaid) lets Purchy match charges to receipts and detect renewals you don't have receipts for. It's read-only — Purchy can never move money. You can use Purchy without it; you'll just see fewer matched charges.

Is there an Android version?

In development. Join the waitlist on the home page if you want first access.
